Students will cont. their Advertising Strategy Commercials. Due Friday. See rubric from Monday's post. Monday- Review and watch video 1.3, Buyer Beware Cont. Students will be given one type of advertising strategy and create a 30 second TV commercial. -We will do a phone case accessory See Rubric Video due Friday
Reminder- “Clock In” and to update $500 Emergency Fund Challenge sheet Activity- Commercial Viewer. Students will identify several different types of ads and answer questions relating to each type. Popular techniques used in ads: » Bandwagon: Persuading people to do something by telling them that others are doing it, too. “Don’t be left out.” » Testimonial: Famous people say they use a product or persuade you to use a product. » Transfer/Fantasy: By using the names or pictures of famous people, but not their direct quotations, the ad is trying to convey that the product will help the consumer imitate the famous person in the ad.

Activity- Pass out semester jobs. Students will receive a mock job position and will complete time sheets each day they leave. Every two weeks they will receive their “bills” and “paycheck” They will need to create a budget following the foundations of personal finance they’ve learned.
