Hot Topic for the whole class: Research to find an article on a young entrepreneur who's been successful at starting a business. Write on paper a summary of what you read and then what you learned about being an entrepreneur.
This should take 20 minutes. Turn in to the sub. Rest of class practice your elevator speech. You will be giving this in class in front of the whole class on finals day Wednesday. You MUST memorize your speech, no cards will be allowed. 30-60 seconds long. At the end your your pitch you must end with a question something like the following: "Based off what you've just heard I'd like to meet with you so we can further discuss your investment opportunities. First thirty minutes we will practice and then begin. Order will be random by a deck of cards. The audience will complete a feedback form for each speech and turn in to Ms. Aspengren. They then will be shared anonymously with the speakers. Practice Call to Action Speech and go over the Persuasion Map and rubric. Monday students will be able to practice for 25 minutes before we begin to give speeches.
